The Ministry of Women and Child Affairs has warned that stern legal action will be taken against anyone who physically punishes or psychologically abuses children over their scholarship examination results.
In a statement, the Ministry also urged the media and social media users to refrain from publishing content that could embarrass or distress children based on their examination results.
Such conduct may constitute child abuse and is punishable by law, the Ministry said, adding that the strongest possible legal action would be taken against offenders.
