Sri Lanka women comfortably won the third T20 against Pakistan women, chasing down 111 as they made 112-5 off just 17.5 overs in Sharjah to claim the three-match series 2-1.
Pakistan struggled right from the start and only three of their batsmen managed to get into double figures, with Bismah Maroof making an impressive 46 off 38 balls. All Sri Lankan bowlers were impressive, especially Udeshika Prabodhani and Inoka Ranaweera who took two wickets apiece and only gave away 12 and 16 runs respectively in their four-over quota. Three run outs also did not help Pakistan’s cause.
In reply, Chamari Atapattu’s 44 ensured that the result was never in doubt after Sana Mir dismissed Lasanthi Madushani with the first ball of their innings.
