The second edition of Pakistan Golf Tournament was held at Royal Golf Club Colombo recently in which prominent Sri Lankan golfers and members of the diplomatic community took part. It was an 18-hole tournament in which players competed for exciting prizes, both in Gentlemen and Ladies categories.
The Golf dinner and prize giving ceremony for the tournament was held on the same evening at the Colombo Courtyard Hotel. The High Commissioner of Pakistan in Sri Lanka, Maj Gen (R) Qasim Qureshi gave away the prizes. The winner in ladies category was Roshani Sangani while the runner up was Louise Parson. In the men’s category, the winner was the Ambassador of Myanmar Min Thein Zan, while the runner up prize was won by Duminda Fernando of Sri Lankan Airlines.
The winners in Ladies and Gentleman categories won business class return air tickets to Pakistan.
Novelty prizes were won by Y.K. Chung, Sharon Hall, Wijegunaratne and Amal Tudawe.
The High Commissioner appreciated the cooperation and support extended by the Royal Golf Club Colombo, Sponsors and the Organizing Committee.
The tournament was co-sponsored by the Sri Lankan Airlines and leading Pakistani business groups Habib Bank Ltd. Muslim Commercial Bank Ltd., Midas Safety and Packages Lanka.
