Former Manchester City forward Robinho has been called up for Brazil's Copa America squad after a run of good form for Santos in his home country.

The 31-year-old, who is on loan from AC Milan, was part of the team that won the tournament in 2007.

Barcelona forward Neymar and Paris St-Germain defenders David Luiz and Thiago Silva have also been included in the 23-man squad.

But Chelsea midfielder Oscar misses out after an injury in training.

Coach Dunga says Premier League champions Chelsea told him the 23-year-old would not be fit for the tournament in Chile, which starts on 11 June.

"His recuperation will take time and he won't be at his best during the Copa America," said Dunga.

"After the Copa America we have the World Cup qualifiers, and we thought it best for him to be ready for those."

Oscar has said he is he was "very sad" to miss the tournament.

Robinho was heavily linked with Chelsea in September 2008 but was signed by City in a £32.5m move that signalled the resources and intent of the club's new Abu Dhabi-based owners.

He left two years later for Milan after struggling to make an impact.

Brazil begin their Copa America campaign against Peru on 14 June before facing Colombia and Venezuela.
