Copa America: Peru 3 - Bolivia 1

Paolo Guerrero scored a hat-trick as Peru beat Bolivia 3-1 to reach the semi-finals of the Copa America where they will face hosts Chile.

The Flamengo striker had failed to score in the group stages but got his first after 20 minutes in Temuco with a header from Juan Vargas's cross.

Three minutes later he added a second and then completed his hat-trick in the 74th minute after intercepting a pass.

Marcelo Moreno pulled a goal back with a penalty six minutes from time.

"We're getting better and better," said Guerrero, who has now scored 24 international goals and is closing in on Teofilo Cubillas's all-time Peru record of 26.

"Not many people had much confidence in us before this tournament but once again we're showing that we're a good side."

The Peru-Chile semi-final will take place at Estadio Nacional, Santiago, at 00:30 BST on Tuesday.

The other two quarter-finals feature Argentina against Colombia on Saturday and Brazil versus Paraguay on Sunday.
