Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Sri Lanka this evening.

He was met by Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe at the Bandaranaike International Airport.

The Indian Premier was due at the Seemamalaka belonging to Gangaramaya Temple to light a lamp.

He is due in Dickoya tomorrow to open the hospital financed by the Indian Government.

On arrival the Indian Prime Minister said on Facebook: ‘Reached Colombo. I am happy to be in Sri Lanka, where I will join the International Vesak Day Celebrations.’
