What The New Cabinet Looks Like

Nine new ministers and a state minister took oaths before President Maithripala Sirisena today at the Presidential Secretariat.

Following are the changes made to the Cabinet:

Former Foreign Affairs Minister Mangala Samaraweera has been appointed the new Finance and Mass Media Minister, while former Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake has been appointed the new Foreign Affairs Minister.

Former Mass Media Minister Gayantha Karunatilake has been appointed new Minister of Lands and Parliamentary Reforms, Minister S.B. Dissanayake Social Empowerment, Welfare and Kandyan Heritage Minister and Minister W.D.J. Seneviratne the Labor, Trade Union Relations and Sabaragamuwa Development Minister.

Former Skills Development and Vocational Training Minister Mahinda Samarasinghe has been appointed Ports and Shipping Minister, while former Ports and Shipping Minister Arjuna Ranatunga has been appointed Minister of Petroleum and Resources Development Minister.

Former Petroleum Resources Minister Chandima Weerakkody has been appointed the new Skills Development and Vocational Training Minister, former Law, Order and Prisons Reform Minister Thilak Marapana has been appointed the Development Assignment Minister, while Mahinda Amaraweera has been appointed State Minister of Mahaweli Development.
