Following serious backlash on a news report regarding a traffic violation, Swarnavahini today removed the video it had uploaded on Youtube.

The video showed a cameraman zooming in on a driver who was stopped by a policemen for a minor traffic offense. The cameraman recorded the incident and the exchange between the policeman and the driver.

The driver complained at the blatant violation of privacy by the cameraman.

However, Swarnavahini chose to telecast the video on Live at 8 news telecast, and uploaded the video on Youtube, creating a serious backlash.
