This order was given today by the Court of Appeal when the Habeas Corpus filed by journalist Prageeth Eknaligoda's wife Sandhya Eknaligoda was taken for hearing.

Cartoonist and political activist Prageeth Ekneligoda went missing on January 24, 2010, shortly before the 2010 Presidential Election.

The CID recently launched the investigation into the disappearance of Eknaligoda and have arrested eleven army personnel, who are currently in detention. The CID took them to the Giritale Camp recently and carried out investigations on the incident. It is said that Eknaligoda was kept in the camp following his detention by the military.
