A number of SLFP MPs are taking part in the Joint Opposition rally which was started a short while ago at Phillip Gunawardena Ground (Hyde Park) in Colombo.

Sri Lanka Freedom Party members including Chamal Rajapaksa, Kumara Welgama, Mahindananda Aluthgamage, Pavithradevi Wanniarachchi, T. B. Ekanayake, G. L. Peiris, Bandula Gunawardana, Dullas Alahapperuma, Gamini Lokuge, and Rohitha Abeygunawardana were among the participants.

However, the General Secretary of SLFP had informed the party members that disciplinary actions would be taken against members who participate in this rally.
