Trespass Into Girls' School: Royal College Students Released After Withdrawal Of Complaint

The fourteen students of Royal College, Colombo, who were presented to court recently on charges of unlawful assembly and trespass into a girls' school, were released yesterday by Colombo Fort Magistrate Priyantha Liyanage.

The Magistrate came to this decision after the Principal of Bishop's College informed court that she does not wish to pursue with the case.

The students had come on invitation, the Principal had told the Kollupitiya Police in a statement, the court was told.

The students were arrested on March 3 and were released on surety bail.
