A body has been recovered following a landslide in the Deniswatte area in Halthota, Dehiowita, Kegalle District.

Two people remain missing.

Heavy rains have been falling in the are overnight. Rescue work have been stopped due to the adverse weather conditions.

Meanwhile, the alternative route in the Colombo - Kandy road at Kegalle was also blocked due to an earth slip.
