Government Seeks Rs 1,180 Million To Buy Vehicles For Ministers (See List Of Ministers)

The government yesterday presented to the Parliament a Supplementary Estimate for Rs 1,180 million to buys vehicles for thirty ministers.

Minister Gayantha Karunathilake presented this on behalf of the Finance Minister.

Accordingly, Rs 70 million is to be allocated for Chandima Weerakkody and Anoma Gamage. Vajira Abeywardena and Nimal Lanza are to be allocated Rs. 99 million. Gamini Jayawickrama Perera and Sumedha G. Jayasena (Rs 70 million), Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe and Dushmantha Mithrapala (Rs 70 million), D.M. Swaminathan and M.L.M Hisbullah (Rs 70 million) are to be allocated funds as well.

Harin Fernando and Tharanath Basnayake are to be allocated Rs 91 million.

The other ministers include Rauff Hakeem, Sarath Amunugama, Vijith Vijayamuni Soyza, Ranjith Siyambalapitiya, P. Digambaran (Rs 35 million each), Anura Priyadarshana Yapa and Dunesh Gankanda (Rs 63 million), Sujeewa Senasinghe (Rs 28 million), Champika Premadasa (Rs 35 million), T.B. Ekanayake (Rs 35 million) Wasantha Senanayake (Rs. 35 million), Lasantha Alagiyawanna (Rs 56 million), Arundika Fernando (Rs 56 million), Manusha Nanayakkara (28 million) Indika Bandarnaike (Rs 28 million) and Susantha Punchinilame (Rs 27.5 million)
