IGP Pujith Jayasundara has been summoned before the Parliament today.

He is to be questioned on the recent incident where he answered a telephone in public view, and commented about not arresting an individual.

The IGP answered the caller as "sir".

There are only a few individuals who can issue an order to the IGP. They include the President, the Prime Minister and the Law and Order Minister.
