Annual St. Antony's church fest scheduled tomorrow in Katchatheevu, Sri Lanka called off as a mark of respect for late Jayalalithaa.

Jayalalithaa, Amma to millions, passed away at Chennai's Apollo Hospital at 11.30 PM on Monday after waging a grim battle for life since her hospitalization on September 22.

After Sri Lanka announced that no one, except the bishop of Jaffna, army, navy officials and the person who built the new St Antony's church at Katchatheevu islet would be allowed to attend the consecration ceremony on December 7, Tamil Nadu fishermen who wish to attend the ceremony were upset and Ministries of External Affairs got involved in the issue.
