Lakshman Yapa Abeywardena's son Osanda Yapa Abeywardena was today released on two sureties of Rs 100,000 each by Colombo Magistrate's Courts over an accident yesterday in Colombo 7 where a motor cyclist was injured.

The motorcyclist was undergoing treatment at the Colombo National Hospital, the court was told.

The motor cyclist is a resident of Colombo 10. He has been paid Rs 125,000 as compensation by Abeywardena, the Cinnamon Gardens Police told court.
