Following the story by Asian Mirror that Amaya Lake in Kandalama were planning to hold a 31st night party with fireworks by the lake, the hotel clarified that there will not be any fireworks by the lake.

They acknowledged that the original advertisement had led to the misunderstanding and that they were merely attempting to promote their room packages.

They have since removed the original Facebook advertisement and replaced it with a new advertisement.
