Pramitha Banadara Tennekoon Resigns From Post After His Father's Removal

Pramitha Banadara Tennekoon, the son of Janaka Bandara Tennekoon has resigned from his post as a Minister of the Central Province.

His father was today removed from his position as the electorate organizer for Dambulla. The Chief Minister's resignation is a direct results of his father's removal. 

President Sirisena made the changes less than a week before the Joint Opposition May Day Rally at the Galle Face grounds.

Three Joint Opposition stalwarts were removed from their positions, and seventeen new appointments were made to the Sri Lanka Freedom Party today.
