Gihan de Silva officially assumed duties today, 26 December, as the new Chairman of the Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation (SLRC).

De Silva is a seasoned business professional with over 25 years of experience in leading multi-brand corporate operations in Sri Lanka.

His career highlights include spearheading successful marketing campaigns, launching impactful brands, and achieving record-breaking results. Known for building high-performing teams and executing strategic business initiatives, De Silva has played a pivotal role in enhancing corporate reputations and delivering sustainable success.

An alumnus of Nalanda College, Colombo 10, De Silva holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura and a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management from the University of Colombo.

In addition to his corporate achievements, De Silva is a member of the Presidential Task Force for the “Clean Sri Lanka” Programme.
