Two youths, identified as members of Sri Lanka’s under-19 national cricket team, have been arrested on suspicion of filming several female doctors while they were bathing in hotel rooms in Narahenpita.

Police Media Division officials, responding to queries, confirmed that the suspects are both under the age of 19.

The incident is reported to have taken place at a private hotel in Narahenpita, where the doctors had been staying while attending a conference.

Police further stated that the suspects are also believed to have recorded footage of male individuals, and investigations are ongoing to determine whether any such material had been circulated online.

The two suspects were produced before the Aluthkade Magistrate’s Court and were released on Rs. 500,000 bail each.
