Japan Donates Seven Low-Floor Buses to Sri Lanka

Seven low-floor buses have been donated to Sri Lanka under the continuing development cooperation between the governments of Japan and Sri Lanka.

The buses were jointly donated by the Japanese government and residents of Yokohama.

Japanese Ambassador to Sri Lanka Akio Isomata officially handed over the buses to the Sri Lankan government at a ceremony attended by Transport, Highways and Urban Development Minister Bimal Rathnayake and other officials.

The buses will be deployed to improve Sri Lanka’s public transport service.
