A restaurant owner was killed and his wife injured in a shooting reported this morning (9) at a restaurant along the Kalutara–Nagoda Road, police said.
The victim’s wife sustained gunshot injuries and was admitted to Nagoda Teaching Hospital in Kalutara for treatment.
Preliminary investigations indicate that two individuals arrived at the scene on a motorcycle before allegedly carrying out the shooting using a T-56 firearm.
Police investigations into the incident are ongoing.
