The Asian Paints Causeway SLADA Racing Championship 2025 continued to thrill motorsport fans with the successful conclusion of the Gajaba Supercross 2025 at Saliyapura, Anuradhapura.

This year’s event delivered an action-packed weekend featuring 24 high-speed races and standout performances across multiple categories. Ashan Silva dominated the Group SL-S Cars up to 3500cc class, while Jacques Gunawardena secured victory in the Group SL-H Cars up to 2000cc category. On two wheels, Infantryman Senevirathne of the Gajaba Regiment (Volunteer) took first place in the Supermoto up to 500cc class, thrilling crowds with his precision and pace.

Asian Paints Causeway’s sponsorship of the championship underscores its commitment to the revival and long-term growth of Sri Lankan motorsport. Beyond brand visibility, the partnership reflects the company’s alignment with the values of performance, precision, innovation, and resilience—principles that also define its Auto Refinish product range and leadership in the automotive coatings sector.

For decades, Asian Paints Causeway has played a pivotal role in supporting Sri Lanka’s automotive industry by uplifting technical standards and equipping workshops with world-class refinishing solutions. Through its collaboration with vocational training programmes, industry partnerships, and motorsport initiatives, the company continues to nurture local expertise and create opportunities for emerging talent.

Vaithilingam Kiritharan, Country Head of Asian Paints Sri Lanka, said:

“At Asian Paints Causeway, our sponsorship of SLADA Racing is more than corporate support—it’s a commitment to resilience, progress, and the future of Sri Lankan motorsport. The Gajaba Supercross captured that spirit, celebrating both the passion of seasoned racers and the promise of new talent. We are proud to play our part in bringing communities together through this shared passion.”

With the Gajaba Supercross now concluded, the championship looks ahead to its next event on 30 and 31 October, promising another weekend of high-octane racing. Following the success of the Katukurunda and Walawa Supercross meets earlier this year, the series reaffirms Asian Paints Causeway’s unwavering commitment to strengthening and sustaining Sri Lanka’s motorsport legacy in 2025 and beyond.
