In a strategic move to advance Sri Lanka’s digital connectivity, SLT-MOBITEL has partnered with MegaPay (Pay&Go) to expand access to Mobitel’s next-generation eSIM onboarding service across the country.

Through the collaboration, customers in both urban and rural areas can now activate Mobitel eSIMs instantly via more than 1,000 Pay&Go kiosks islandwide, as well as through the Pay&Go mobile app and online platforms.

The initiative supports SLT-MOBITEL’s mission to deliver frictionless digital experiences, simplify access, and broaden consumer reach. With Pay&Go’s extensive ecosystem and 24/7 availability, customers can onboard to the Mobitel eSIM service and access exclusive offers at their convenience.

The partnership reflects SLT-MOBITEL’s ongoing efforts to accelerate nationwide digital transformation. Senior MegaPay representatives, including General Director Vardan Aslibekyan, Head of Operations and Customer Support Gayan Chandrarathne, and Head of Business Development Denver Fernando, attended the launch. Key personnel from Mobitel included Chief Operating Officer Sudharshana Geeganage, General Manager (New Market Development) Rukshan De Silva, and Assistant Manager (New Market Development) Melan Wijesekara Arachchige.

Customers using Pay&Go kiosks for utility payments and related services can now also obtain Mobitel eSIM connections by scanning QR codes available at the kiosks, through the Pay&Go app, or via the Pay&Go website. Collectively, these channels serve a monthly user base of more than 600,000, providing 24/7 access for both local and overseas users.

Since 2015, SLT-MOBITEL and MegaPay have collaborated on bill payments and reload services. This new phase strengthens the existing partnership and positions SLT-MOBITEL to lead Sri Lanka’s evolving eSIM market by bridging technology with everyday life through MegaPay’s high-traffic kiosk network and digital platforms.

For more information, customers may visit a Pay&Go kiosk, download the Pay&Go app, or access the Pay&Go website at www.paygo.lk.
