Singer Fashion Academy hosted En Vogue 2026, a runway presentation celebrating creativity, craftsmanship, and culture, while spotlighting the next generation of Sri Lankan fashion designers. Held for the second time, the event reaffirmed the Academy’s role as a leading institution for fashion education and talent development in Sri Lanka.

Designed as a professional runway experience, En Vogue 2026 provided Diploma and Advanced Diploma in Fashion Design students with an opportunity to present their work in a real-world fashion show setting. The showcase bridged education and industry, highlighting strong individual design identities and technical proficiency.

Speaking on the event, Mahesh Wijewardene, Group Managing Director of Singer Sri Lanka, said:
“Singer’s commitment to education extends beyond training to the creation of structured, industry-aligned platforms that enable young talent to transition confidently into professional careers. En Vogue 2026 demonstrates our continued investment in skills development and the preservation of Sri Lanka’s design heritage, while reinforcing the Academy’s role in developing future-ready professionals for the fashion ecosystem.”

The event featured collections by 34 Diploma in Fashion Design students across nine themed segments, while seven Advanced Diploma students presented individual collections—marking the Academy’s first-ever solo runway presentations. In addition, sarees and Kandyan sarees designed by 20 students from Singer Fashion Academies across the island were also showcased.

Enhancing its visual appeal, En Vogue 2026 introduced a mirror-effect runway, creating an immersive and striking experience that distinguished the show from its previous edition.

A key highlight of the event was its emphasis on creativity, craftsmanship, and cultural expression. The fashion show celebrated the talent of tomorrow’s designers while honouring Sri Lanka’s rich fashion heritage, with collections paying tribute to traditional forms reinterpreted through contemporary design sensibilities.

The event also underscored Singer’s continued commitment to education, skills development, and the creative industries in Sri Lanka. With a presence across 52 locations islandwide and an accessible online learning platform, Singer Fashion Academy offers students nationwide the opportunity to pursue professional fashion education. By providing a professional runway platform for high-quality, student-designed collections, the Academy continues to support entrepreneurship, creative expression, and the growth of Sri Lanka’s fashion ecosystem.
