Asia Asset Finance PLC marked International Women’s Day 2026 with a community-focused event held on 6 March in Colombo, bringing together women leaders, community representatives, and elderly residents in a tribute to the role of women in society.

The event brought together participants from Lankadara Elders Home and St. Martin’s Elders Home, alongside professionals and community figures, creating an intergenerational gathering centred on recognition and appreciation.

Organisers said the programme focused on engagement and interaction, with participants taking part in activities aimed at acknowledging the contributions and experiences of elderly women.

Head of Sustainability and CSR of Asia Asset Finance PLC, Yuveni Diaz, said the initiative reflected the company’s broader approach to community engagement.

“At Asia Asset Finance, sustainability is not just a concept — it is a responsibility we carry with commitment. On this Women’s Day, we recognise not only the achievements of women but also their role in shaping society through resilience and care,” she said.

The company stated that the event forms part of its ongoing corporate social responsibility efforts, with a focus on community support and social inclusion.

Asia Asset Finance PLC, a subsidiary of Muthoot Finance, operates a network of over 100 branches across Sri Lanka and has more than five decades of experience in the financial services sector.

The company holds a Fitch A+ credit rating.
