Sri Lanka Cricket has informed the Colombo District Court that it will file objections in connection with a petition filed by cricketer Nuwan Thushara.

Accordingly, the court ordered that the case be recalled on 23 April to allow the submission of objections.

Thushara has filed the petition seeking a court order directing Sri Lanka Cricket to issue him a No Objection Certificate (NOC), which is required for participation in international franchise leagues, including the 2026 edition of the Indian Premier League.

The case centres on the player’s request to secure clearance to compete in overseas leagues, with further proceedings expected following the filing of objections by Sri Lanka Cricket.
