CPC suspends QR fuel quota for petrol vehicles until 18 April

The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) announced that owners of petrol-powered vehicles will be allowed to obtain fuel without using the QR code-based quota system from midnight today (11) until 18 April 2026.

However, the CPC stated that the ‘odd-even’ number system — which regulates fuel distribution based on the last digit of a vehicle’s number plate — will continue to be enforced for all vehicles during this period.
