Empowering digital entrepreneurship across the island, SLT-MOBITEL has officially signed a strategic partnership agreement with the Online Entrepreneurs Club of Sri Lanka (OECSL). This collaboration aims to strengthen the country’s growing community of digital entrepreneurs, technopreneurs, and freelancers by enhancing their growth potential.

The partnership marks a significant step in SLT-MOBITEL’s continued efforts to support Sri Lanka’s digital economy and promote entrepreneurship.

The agreement was signed by Imantha Wijekoon, Chief Business Officer – Consumer Business at SLT-MOBITEL, and Lasantha Wickramasinghe, Director of OECSL, during a ceremony held recently in Colombo. Several officials from both organisations were also present.

This strategic alliance will offer considerable benefits to all stakeholders. SLT-MOBITEL will provide OECSL members with privileged access to a comprehensive suite of specialised products and services, enabling them to scale and optimise their digital operations effectively.

Additionally, SLT-MOBITEL stands to extend its market reach by connecting with OECSL’s diverse network of digital entrepreneurs, technopreneurs, and freelancers — a rapidly expanding segment that is driving innovation within Sri Lanka’s digital economy.

The collaboration also contributes to strengthening the country’s digital infrastructure, equipping local entrepreneurs with enterprise-grade connectivity solutions and technological support vital for competitive growth.

Imantha Wijekoon, Chief Business Officer – Consumer Business at SLT-MOBITEL, commented,
“At SLT-MOBITEL, we are committed to empowering Sri Lanka’s digital future by enabling connectivity, innovation, and opportunity. By partnering with OECSL, we aim to uplift the growing community of digital entrepreneurs, technopreneurs, and freelancers who are driving the next wave of economic development. We look forward to providing them with the right digital tools, connectivity solutions, and value-added services to help them scale their businesses and thrive in a competitive digital landscape.”

Lasantha Wickramasinghe, Director of the Online Entrepreneurs Club of Sri Lanka, added,
“We are proud to partner with SLT-MOBITEL, the national ICT solutions provider, to bring meaningful value to our members. This collaboration will open new doors for digital entrepreneurs, freelancers, and technopreneurs by providing access to essential tools and services critical to success in the digital economy. Together with SLT-MOBITEL, we are strengthening Sri Lanka’s digital ecosystem and reaffirming our commitment to fostering innovation, growth, and opportunity for online entrepreneurs across the island.”
