Sri Lanka’s Anudi Gunasekara, despite commendable performances in the Multimedia and Head-to-Head challenges, did not secure a spot among the 40 quarter-finalists at the Miss World 2025 pageant held in Hyderabad, India.

Gunasekara achieved a significant milestone by becoming the first runner-up in the Multimedia Challenge, highlighting her impactful digital presence and advocacy work. Additionally, she was among the top 20 finalists in the Head-to-Head challenge.

Despite these achievements, the selection process for the Top 40 quarter-finalists, which aimed for regional representation across Africa, the Americas, Asia & Oceania, and Europe, did not include her in the final list.
