The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the formation of the “United National Front for Good Governance,” was signed at the Temple Trees, a short while ago.

 

This alliance will contest the general election under the 'elephant' symbol of the UNP.

 

The United National Party (UNP) yesterday (11) approved the new political alliance at the party’s special convention held at Campbell Park in Borella.

 

SLFP members who broke away in opposition to the decision to grant nominations to Mahinda Rajapaksa, the Jathika Hela Urumaya, alternative groups of LSSP and Communist Party and other groups are in this alliance.
