Sri Lanka Freedom Party General Secretary Anura Priyadarshana Yapa handed over the UPFA nominations from Kurunegala District at the District Secretariat a short while ago.

Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, who contests from the district, was not present at the occasion.

Speaking to media, Yapa said that Rajapaksa will not be present at the handing over of nominations. As the deputy team leader, he handed over the nominations on behalf of Rajapaksa, Yapa added.
