The Frontline Socialist Party alleged that one of its candidates from Jaffna District has been intimidated by an unidentified group.

 

FLSP Propaganda Secretary Pubudu Jayagoda told Asian Mirror that Murugaiya Thineswaran, a resident of Chunnakam in Jaffna District, has been subjected to intimidation.

 

Thineswaran is a student of the Jaffna University Arts Faculty.

 

Two individuals had arrived at the District Secretariat today posing as policemen and have obtained information on Thineswaran, Jayagoda said. However, the two individuals had no proof of being policemen, he also said.

 

Later, a group had allegedly visited his house and made inqiries on him in the locality too.

 

Jayagoda said that a police complaint would be made on this regard.
