Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has called for a report from the Finance Ministry on the possible reduction of fuel and LP gas prices.

 

A statement in the UNP official Facebook Page said that the Prime Minister had inquired the possibility of reducing the local prices due to the reduction of crude oil prices in the world market.

 

On July 11, Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake announced that LP gas and rice prices would be lowered with effect from July 15. Accordingly, the price of a 12.5kg gas cylinder is to be lowered by Rs. 100.
