The Sri Lanka Freedom Party Central Committee meeting, earlier sheduled for this evening, has been cancelled.

SLFP General Secretary Anura Priyadarshana Yapa had earlier announced that the meeting will be held at the Sri Lanka Foundation Institute at 8.00pm.

However, the meeting has been cancelled on the orders of President Maithripala Sirisena.

Sirisena is the Chairman of the SLFP.
