Colombo District Court issued a restraining order a short while ago, against the convening of the Central Committee of the SLFP without the permission of the head of the party.

Party Secretary Anura Priyadarshana Yapa announced this morning that a Central Committee meeting will be held tonight at the Sri Lanka Foundation Institute.

However, it was later cancelled by the orders of President Maithripala Sirisena.

Sirisena is the Chairman of the SLFP.
