UPFA Raises Concern On FCID Investigations During Election Period

UPFA General Secretary Susil Premajayantha told media that a party delegation met with the Elections Commissioner and discussed their concerns regarding the election, including attempts to question UPFA candidates by the police Financial Crimes Investigations Division.
 
Premajayantha said that UPFA delegation complained that therw was a deliberate attempt to undermine the elections campaign by questioning UPFA candidates at the FCID. He added that there was no question of candidates being questioned after the election is over.
 
Premajayantha also said that the Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation has started a new FM channel to attack the UPFA. He said that the UPFA delegation presented recordings as evidence of the FM channel.
 
Meanwhile, the UPFA also complained about the recent alleged death threat at Dallas Alahapperuma at Matara and also raised concern on the reduction of security.
