Speaking on several posters spreading through Facebook against him recently, National Freedom Front (NFF) leader and former minister Wimal Weerawansa on Saturday (18) stated that his political journey could not be stopped by such ‘disgusting and cheap’ attempts.

“Those posters were created with photos of my nieces.  I do not care about such campaigns against me. But they can harm the images of my nieces. That is why I decided to reveal the truth,” posting a status on his official Facebook page Weerawansa explained.

"I doubt that people who create these posters ever remember that they also have mothers and sisters", he also told. "People in the country will give a proper answer to these kinds of cheap mudslinging campaigns on August 17", Weerawansa added.
