Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa will address several election rallies and meetings in Galle District throughout the day. Meanwhile, UNP leader Ranil Wickremesinghe will be addressing several rallies in Kurunegala District this afternoon.

Rajapaksa begins the campaign for the day with a rally in Galle city hall in the morning. He will then speek at meetings in Ratgama, Yakkalamulla Junction in Galle, Wanduramba Junction in Baddegama and in Akmeemana. The final meeting will be in Habaraduwa this evening at 6pm.

UNP leader Ranil Wickremesinghe will address meetings in Kurunegala District this afternoon. He is expected to be at Katugampola at 2pm, Panduwasnuwara at 3pm and Galgamuwa at 4pm.

Meanwhile, JVP leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake will address a rally in Weligama in Matara District this afternoon. The rally is scheduled to start at 3pm. JVP Propaganda Secretary Vijitha Herat will address several meetings in Gampaha District and JVP Politburo Member K. D. Lalkantha will address meetings in Katupotha and Bammanna in the Kurunegala District this afternoon.
