UPFA General Secretary Susil Premajayantha said that he raised concerns on questioning of opposition politicians carried out by the police FCID, which he argues is under the purview of the Prime Minister.

 

Therefore, the FCID is used to harass opposition figures, he said.

 

Speaking to media following a discussion between party Secretaries and the Elections Commissioner, Premajayantha said that every day is important in an election campaign, especially since the time allowed for campaigning is relatively short.

 

Premajayantha had raised this issue earlier too, saying that any questioning should be done after the conclusion of the election.
