Kurunegala District UNP candidate Nalin Bandara stated that the people of Kurunegala will teach former President Mahinda Rajapaksa a lesson in the upcoming general election.

 

Speaking at a press conference this morning, Bandara pointed out that Rajapaksa will be an ordinary parliamentarian at best, and will never be the Prime Minister of the country. He pointed out that President Maithriapala Sirisena had already announced that Rajapaksa will not be named Prime Minister.

 

He asked how Rajapaksa was going to fulfill various promises he is making at the moment, if he was not able to carry them out as President.
