Revealing his policy on undergraduates, former President Mahinda Rajapaksa promised to increase the Mahapola Scholarship to Rs. 6000.
Answering a question at his live Q and A session on Facebook, Rajapaksa said that he had given jobs to undergraduates both internal and external up to 2012.
Rajapaksa added that he will carry out a special programme to give internships to the graduates. An allowance would be paid from the Government Treasury for those graduates during their internship period, he also said.
"This will help the graduates enhance their marketability into the job market", Rajapaksa pointed out.
