Frontline Socialist Party (FLSP) Propaganda Secretary Pubudu Jayagoda on Friday (24) stressed that political parties were conducting election manifesto circuses without trying to find real answers to questions in the country.

 

Addressing a public rally held in Kalutara, Jayagoda asserted that instead of proposing solutions, all major parties were trying to grab attention from media campaigns.

 

Jayagoda criticized the JVP for its suggested solutions to solve problems in transport, saying that the JVP proposes constructions of highways, importing vehicles and giving tax reliefs to them. In other words, they show that they only care about needs and wants of high class people, he pointed out.

 

Jayagoda said that the problem of developing transportation system cannot be solved by applying such methods. FLSP proposes the establishment of strong public transportation system with the support of the government as the only solution, he elaborated.

 

“We do not want to fool the general public like others. That is why we keep on saying these things,” Jayagoda said.
