The Bodu Bala Sena filed a complaint at the Police Headquarters yesterday, alleging that there was a threat to the General Secretary of the organization Galagodaatte Gnanasara Thera from the ISIS group.

 

The complaint is based on a post found in the Facebook page of the Sri Lankan ISIS fighter who was reportedly killed in Syria recently.

 

The Facebook post had stated that Gnanasara Thera should be assassinated.

 

The militant, known in the ISIS as Abu Shuraih Sailani, is reportedly a former Sri Lankan Karate instructor and a principal of an international school. He was said to be from Galewela in Kandy.
