Anura Dissanayake Looks Forward To Meet Rajapaksa At Courts

Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake said that he is awaiting a face-to-face meeting with former President Mahinda Rajapaksa at the courts.Dissanayake made this comment last evening at a rally in Beruwala, responding to the news that Rajapaksa was sending a letter of demand to him.

Rajapaksa’s lawyers said yesterday that they will be sending letters of demand to five individuals including Minister Mangala Samaraweera, Deputy Minister Ranjan Ramanayake and JVP leader Anura Dissanayake against certain comments they had allegedly made on the former President.

Anura Dissanayake reiterated his position that Rajapaksa was returning to politics to undermine several investigations already launched against him, his family and close associates. It was an irony that he is returning to parliamentary politics after being the President of the country for nearly ten years, Dissanayake added.
