A body of an unidentified male was discovered by the police this morning in Diyawannawa Oya in Sri Jayawardenapura Kotte.

 

The body was discovered following a tip-off. However, it was unclear as to how long the body had been in Diyawanna Oya.

 

Initial investigations could not reveal the circumstances of the death. The body was sent to the hospital to determine the cause of death, police said.
