Responding to the news that former President Mahinda Rajapaksa was sending a letter of demand to five individuals including him, Kurunegala District UNP candidate and former MP Nalin Bandara said that he was prepared to face Rajapaksa at courts.
Speaking at a special "expose" media conference yesterday, he said that he had evidence of the allegations he leveled at Rajapaksa andthat he was prepared to prove them in courts.
Bandara challenged Rajapaksa to file a case against him, saying that he will prove Rajapaksa's guilt in courts.
Earlier, JVP leader Anura Dissanayake and former Deputy Minister Ranjan Ramanayake also said that they were ready to face Rajapaksa in courts. Rajapaksa's lawyers announced that letters of demand will be sent to five people including Bandara, Dissanayake, Ramanayake, Foreign Minister Mangala Samaraweera and leader of the Gypsies music group Sunil Perera.
