The Railways’ Professional Trade Union Alliance said it would launch a countrywide strike from midnight today.

 

Railway Department employees belonging to eleven grades will join the strike urging that their salary anomalies be resolved.

 

Station masters, railway guards, engine drivers, train controllers and foremen are expected to take part in the strike.
