President Maithripala Sirisena left the island for a two day official visit to Italy this morning.

The Sri Lankan delegation left aboard Flight EK-651 of the Emirates Airways.

The President is expected to meet high officials of the Italian Government. President Sirisena will also meet Pope Francis in the Vatican.
