US Under Secretary of State (Designate) for Political Affairs Thomas Shannon is to arrive Sri Lanka today (14th).

While in Sri Lanka, Shannon will tour a USAID-funded livelihoods project in the Eastern Province and meet with civil society.

During his visit, Shannon will have discussions with the Minister of Foreign Affairs Mangala Samaraweera and senior government and parliamentary leaders.
